Residents of Mai Mahiu, Naivasha are trying to come to terms with the case where the dismembered body of a man was found dumped along the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu road.
The body, whose leg and fingers had been cut off, was found near the Mai Mahiu refugee camp and was allegedly thrown from a speeding car.
The naked body whose leg had been cut off above the knee was found dumped 10 kilometers from the town of Mai Mahiu by netizens.
In the past few years, the area has been used as a dumping ground for people who have been killed, leaving the local residents in fear.
In the latest incident, the corpse was found on the side of the road with long knives stabbed in various parts of the body while the leg was missing.
Witness Enock Ngari said that the man did not come from the area and added that he may have been thrown on the side of the road by the killers.
He said that the body had more than twenty stab wounds in the head and back and was still bleeding when the citizens found it.
Naivasha OCPD Stephen Kirui confirmed the incident and added that the body had been taken to the mortuary of the Naivasha sub-county hospital.
Meanwhile, a middle-aged man was hit by a train under mysterious circumstances in Naivasha along the Nairobi-Nakuru railway line.
