A man, identified as Justin Mohn, has been arrested for decapitating his father and sharing a disturbing video online that showed the severed head.
The shocking incident took place against a backdrop of political turmoil, with Mohn expressing extreme views in the video.
The video, which amassed over 5,000 views on YouTube before being taken down, has led to Mohn being charged with murder, abuse of a corpse, and other offenses.
The gruesome discovery unfolded when police responded to a report of a deceased male in Middletown Township.
The victim, identified as Michael F. Mohn, was found in the bathroom, and his son, Justin Mohn, was not present at the scene.
The police discovered a machete and a large kitchen knife in the bathtub, along with the victim’s head in a plastic bag inside a cooking pot.

In a chilling YouTube video, Justin Mohn identified himself, read from a written statement, and displayed what appeared to be his father’s bloodied head.
He accused his father, a federal worker for over 20 years, of being a traitor and expressed strong political opinions, including declaring himself the acting US president under martial law.
The video prompted YouTube to remove it due to graphic violence.
After the horrifying act, Mohn fled the scene, driving over 100 miles and eventually breaking into a Pennsylvania National Guard base armed with a gun.
Authorities apprehended him without resistance at Fort Indiantown Gap base.
Mohn’s former roommate from 2016, Davis Rebhan, revealed that Mohn had displayed signs of paranoia and believed the government was targeting him
Rebhan recalled instances of Mohn’s erratic behavior, including a fit that resulted in property damage, claiming that Mohn attributed it to undiagnosed PTSD.
While investigators work to understand the specific motives, the former FBI deputy director, Andrew McCabe, highlighted the potential influence of deeply politicized and extreme rhetoric on individuals with extremist views.
