Police in Naivasha Monday arrested six suspects and recovered assorted goods worth millions of shillings that had been stolen in various estates in the town.
Among the recovered items included musical instruments stolen from one of the churches last month and electronic equipment stolen from one of the shops on Saturday night.
Police said the suspects are also believed to be behind a series of highway robberies along the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu road.
In the last three months, area residents have lost goods worth millions of shillings to the gang that has been using motorcycles to ferry the stolen goods.
Naivasha Deputy police boss Samuel Kiplong said the thugs struck on Saturday night in one of the electronic shops in Karagita estate carting away goods worth over Sh700,000.
He said five of the suspects were on their list of wanted criminals adding that it was a matter of time before they capture the rest and recover the missing goods.
Kiplong called on members of the public who had lost their goods to report to the Karagita police post and help identify the recovered items.
Police have enhanced operations in the town and its environs ahead of the festive season.
