In Gem, a man suspected of dealing drugs got nabbed, and the cops confiscated various narcotics from him.
Godfery Otieno Nyang’or, a middle-aged man, was apprehended at his residence in Gamba village, Siaya County, by the police.
When the officers raided his place, they found him with 4 liters of chang’aa, two bundles of cannabis sativa, 360 rolls of bhang, 20 packs of export cigarettes, 5 sachets of Simba waragi, 8 packs of Kuber beer, 500 pieces of rolling paper, and 19 bottles of petrol.

Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo confirmed the arrest, mentioning that Nyang’or is currently held in police custody awaiting his court appearance.
Meanwhile, in the Ugunja sub-county, the police from the Ugunja station seized 181 rolls of bhang and a motorcycle after the owner fled.
During a routine patrol, the Ugunja sub-county commander and his team intercepted a motorcycle around the Savannah area, en route from Ambira to Ugunja town.
The rider bolted upon spotting the police, leaving behind a small metal box.
Upon opening the box, the officers discovered 181 rolls of bhang.
Kimaiyo affirmed the incident and stated that the seized items were taken to the Ugunja police station as evidence, while efforts to track down and prosecute the motorcycle owner are ongoing.
