Suspected Thugs Break Into Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Homa Bay, Steal Computers


Police are investigating an incident in which suspected thugs broke into the Rangwe Sub County Deputy Commissioner’s office and stole equipment.

An unknown number of thugs broke into the office on January 15 and picked Hp central processing unit, HP monitor, and HP computer keyboard.

A clerk at the office said she left the office at the Sub County Treasury Office securely locked and left home but when she reported later on Monday she found it broken into.

Police who visited the scene said it was opened by a person with a duplicate key.

Police are investigating the incident.

No arrest has been made so far.

The investigators said the targeted equipment had crucial information on the county operations.

The motive of the incident is yet to be known.
