Cabinet Secretaries on Thursday arrived at the Fairmount Mt. Kenya Safari Club for a four-day retreat which will be hosted by President William Ruto.
The club in Nanyuki is one of the most expensive joints in the region and experts suggest it may cost the government up to Sh100 million to host the meeting of the top advisers, the Cabinet and Principal Secretaries for the days.
The meeting, according to State House spokesperson Hussein Mohammed, will bring together senior Executive members including Cabinet Secretaries, presidential advisors and Principal Secretaries.
Mohammed said the meeting is set to review the steps the Kenya Kwanza administration has made since assuming office and also spell out key areas of focus to see the realization of their campaign pledges as the new year begins.
“The retreat between 5th-8th January will crystallize the implementation program of the Administration’s Plan for the Year 2023,” he said.
Various private organizations will give lectures at the meeting and give a way forward.
