Police are looking for a gang that attacked petrol station attendants in Njoro, Nakuru and stole 31 gas cylinders.
The gang of four went to Rubis petrol station on Wednesday dawn and asked to refuel their Totota Voxy car.
And after they had had their tank filled, they turned on the attendant and demanded that he shows them where the watchmen were.
According to police, the gang got hold of the watchmen on duty and the attendant and tied them together before locking them in a room there.
They then stole six pieces of six kgs empty cylinders and 25 pieces of 13 kg filled cylinders.
They drove off leaving the victims tied.
Police say they are looking for the gang.
Police believe there is a market where the gang is taking the cylinders.
This follows a spate of such incidents in the past months in the city and parts of Nairobi.
Joint efforts have since been launched to investigate the trend.
