Thugs Raid Bakery In Machakos Kill Guard And Rob Sh90,000

A gang of six raided a bakery in Mwala, Machakos County, and killed a guard on duty before robbing Sh90,000 from the premises.

The gang went to Anglicare Bakery on Tuesday morning and hacked the guard on duty to death before breaking into the offices and stealing the money.

A supplier who went to collect bread at the bakery told police he did not find the gate watchman prompting him to force the gate open.

He proceeded to the bakery, collected loaves of bread and on returning back to surrender the gate pass at the main gate he noticed blood stains outside the watchman’s office prompting him to follow it only to find the lifeless body of one Eric Mwenda Musango, 27.

The body had multiple head injuries and some defensive injuries on the right hand.

CCTV footage was retrieved and a gang of six robbers were seen at the scene armed with crude weapons and one of them wearing a security guard uniform.

Police said a thorough search was conducted and recovered a damaged safe box with the stolen documents but no cash was recovered.

The documents were found dumped about a kilometer from the scene

Police are looking for the gang behind the attack.
