Two brothers drown in Lake Victoria on Tuesday evening as they expedited the waters.
The two are from Bondo, Siaya County and were identified as Dedan Omondi Damai and Wycliffe Onyango Damai.
Police said they were on a fishing expedition near Sirongo beach when their boat capsized over strong winds.
According to Julius Odembo, the chairman of Sika Beach, the two brothers had finished casting their nets and were returning to the lake shore when they met their death.
Other fishermen attempted to rescue the brothers after realizing that their boat had capsized in vain.
The bodies are yet to be retrieved from the water and efforts to get them were ongoing Wednesday, December 28.
