In Uganda’s capital, Kampala, a 25-year-old man named Musa Musasizi has been handed a 105-year prison sentence by the High Court.
The sentencing took place on Wednesday following Musasizi’s admission of guilt in the murders of three women, described as his girlfriends, and a three-month-old girl who was the child of one of his victims.
According to reports from the court, Musasizi engaged in romantic relationships with these women before committing heinous acts of sexual assault and murder.
Subsequently, he would burn and dispose of their bodies to conceal the crimes.

Justice Margaret Mutonyi, who presided over the case, emphasized the necessity of the lengthy sentence to safeguard young women, including Musasizi’s six-year-old daughter, as reported by the privately-owned NTV channel.
The court learned that Musasizi had been arrested in March 2021 under suspicion of killing five women and an infant.
He was officially convicted for one of the murders in July.
During the trial, Musasizi’s lawyer pleaded for leniency, citing his troubled upbringing as a former street child.
Despite this appeal for mercy, the court deemed the severity of the crimes and the need to protect potential future victims as paramount in determining the substantial 105-year sentence.
