Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has urged local leaders in the Mountain region to shun Continuous Politicking, and Focus on development Programmes to benefit residents.
Waiguru asked the leaders to reduce Political infights, and fulfil the Campaign pledges made during the elections.
She Was Speaking at Ndia Constituency during the 100 yrs Celebrations of Our Lady of Sorrows Baricho Catholic Church, where she Presented President William Ruto’s Ksh 2 million Cash Prize to the Church.
The Event was attended by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who asked the residents of the mountain region to read the mood of politics in the Nation and stand with.
“I went around supporting leaders during elections, and they should pay back with Support.” He said
“I urge our leaders to appreciate and Support each other whenever good work is done instead of pulling each other down to discredit and derail development for selfish interests, at expense of deserving residents.” She said.
When time comes, the Governor Said the Mountain region will forge a common path, and reiterated the region is solidly behind President William Ruto.
The Governor lauded her County’s cordial working relationship with President Ruto’s administration, adding that the County has reaped immense development projects from the National Gvt.

She also praised the church for complimention of Gvt in projects that benefit residents.
Waiguru re affirmed her Commitment on changing lives through transformative development Initiatives in the County.
