And a postmortem examination has established that a 49-year-old man whose death was initially reported as a drowning in Kinango, Kwale County, died from injuries caused by a blunt object before his body was thrown into a water pan.
The deceased, identified as Nicholas Mutisya Kyuli, was found in the water pan in an incident reported on October 2, 2026, at Vigurungani Police Station.
A postmortem conducted on Wednesday, October 7, at about 6pm established that Kyuli had sustained bodily injuries consistent with blunt-force trauma.

Investigators are now working to establish the circumstances surrounding Kyuli’s death and identify those responsible.
