Woman, 57 Collapses And Dies In House In Limuru, Kiambu County


A 57-year-old woman collapsed and died in a house in Limuru, Nairobi.

The cause of death of Elizabeth Nyawira on Tuesday afternoon is yet to be established.

She was a housekeeper of a house at Oakridge estate in Kentmere area.

Police said her body was found lying in a prone position in the living room area and had blood oozing from the mouth, suspected to be from injuries suffered when the deceased collapsed and fell face-first.

In Juja area, a driver at the Shakaina Presbyterian School, Mukuyu was found dead in his house.

The police said workers at the school had gone to wake up Robert Nyagah, 48 in vain as he was not responding.

Police officers proceeded to the scene and gained entry, where they found him dead in a decomposing state in his rented room.

Meanwhile a woman drowned in a well as she fetched water in Ibeno, Kisii County.

Police visited the scene and established that Faith Nyangweso, 26 who was expectant drowned in the 30 feet deep well on Tuesday as she fetched water.

She had left to the well for water and failed to return which prompted other relatives to go search for her.

A team from Kisii County disaster management arrived at the scene and managed to retrieve the body to the mortuary pending autopsy.

Elsewhere in Wangarot village, Aram, Siaya County one John Onyango, 35 died in a tunnel as he excavated gold at a gold mine site.
