A 24-year-old man was found hanged with his body hanging from the roof of a rented house after what was said to be a loss of a large sum of money in a lottery game.
According to report, the young man was said to have taken difficult decision after losing up to one hundred and twenty thousand shillings into the gambling game of flying the popular plane as ‘Aviator’.
Before his death, the young man named Kipkorir was employed to run an Mpesa shop in Kericho town.
It is reported that he used the business money to try his luck and lost his bet in all the games.
Speaking to NTV on the phone, the nephew of the deceased said that the deceased asked his friend to take care of the shop for him as he went to check some business in the city and promised to be back soon.
“We tried several times to contact him but he wasn’t answering the phone.” Said his nephew.
According to police report, there was no message left by him before he took his own life.
The body was removed and taken to the Siloam Hospital mortuary pending an autopsy
