
Tony Kibwana has assumed the role of Acting Chief Executive at Bandari FC.
club’s Vice-Chairman, Twaha Mbarak confirmed his appointment yesterday.
Tony Kibwana, who boasts a background as a former footballer and currently serves as the Head of Security at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), will be stepping into this important position, taking over from Hajj Masemo.
The transition of leadership was marked by a formal handing-over ceremony that took place at the KPA offices in Mombasa. The Chairman of the KPA Board of Directors, Benjamin Tayari, presided over this significant event.

In his statement, Twaha Mbarak expressed his well-wishes for Hajj Masemo, who has had to step down due to health reasons, and extended his hopes for a swift recovery.
He also conveyed the management’s full confidence in Tony Kibwana. Mbarak underlined their collective commitment to enhancing player welfare and driving improved results for the team.
At present, Bandari FC occupies the 12th position in the league standings, holding ten points, with a nine-point gap separating them from the league leaders, Posta Rangers.
Twaha Mbarak is optimistic that this leadership transition will bring stability and benefit the team’s performance.
“We plead with our fans to show up in large numbers for today’s match against Kenya Police Fc and also for Sunday’s match against Shabana Fc because their strength is also very important in this process of trying to improve our results in the league,” Twaha said.
