A 34-year-old woman is being sought by the police after she was abducted by unidentified individuals, who also sexually assaulted her daughter on the night of January 13, 2024, in Alego East sub-location, Awendo Sub County.
According to Emma Wanga, the Assistant Chief in the area, the young girl recounted that three masked individuals entered their house at night.
Two of them took away her mother, while the remaining assailant stayed behind to assault the daughter.
Subsequently, all three disappeared with the abducted mother.

The traumatized girl, threatened by the suspect, endured the harrowing experience in their home until morning when she bravely reported the incident.
Despite efforts, the police have not yet located the mother, and the search is ongoing.
The assaulted girl has been admitted to the hospital for treatment, and authorities are working to locate her mother, believed to be in the custody of the abductors.
The incident occurred while the girl’s father was away working in Siaya County, leaving the family vulnerable.
Emma Wanga, the Assistant Chief, urges the public to come forward with any information that might assist the ongoing investigations.
