From Bets To Boreholes: How Mozzart Bet Is Changing Lives Across Kenya

Since making its entry into the Kenyan market in 2017, Mozzart Bet has evolved from a gaming company into a significant contributor to social development across the country.

Under the stewardship of Country Manager Sasa Krneta, the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts have flourished—reaching into healthcare, clean water access, and the sponsorship of national sports teams.

Over the past three financial years alone, Mozzart Bet has invested more than Sh245 million in both sports and CSR initiatives.

Mozzart Bet’s CSR journey truly began during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the donation of essential medical equipment to over 50 hospitals nationwide.

A particularly heart-warming example was at Waithaka Health Centre, where infant incubators donated by the company played a vital role in saving the lives of premature twins.

In the aftermath of the pandemic, the company turned its attention to long-term water solutions through its “100 Wells for Communities” programme. With 17 boreholes already drilled in counties including

Kakamega, Kitui, Busia, Bomet, Turkana, Kisumu, and Makueni, the project has been instrumental in providing safe and reliable water sources to some of Kenya’s most remote communities.

These efforts haven’t come without hurdles—teams have navigated treacherous terrain, including 10-hour drives on unpaved roads and even airlifting equipment to hard-to-reach areas.
