A couple was Wednesday arrested after they reported the death of their three-year-old son in Juja, Kiambu County.
The boy was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The police arrived at the facility and established the body of the boy had visible injuries believed to have been caused by beating.
The couple had been married for the last five months whereby the lady arrived with two children and found the man with one male child aged two years seven months after they had separated with the mother of the child, police said.
The body was moved to a local mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures while the couple was expected to be produced in court.
Elsewhere in Piai, Kirinyaga County, one Mary Njeri Chuka was fatally attacked by a man she was cohabiting with in a domestic fight.
Police said the suspect was traced from his hide out at Kathanjuri location within and arrested pending arraignment for murder.
In Kegonga, Kuria, Migori County, a man strangled and killed a one-year-old girl in anger.
This happened during a domestic quarrel between the man and his mother.
He turned his anger to the step daughter and killed her.
Police arrived at the scene later and moved the body to the mortuary after arresting the suspect.
Police said they are investigating the incident.
And a man was found dead after he fell from the rooftop of a house under construction while trying to steal materials in Kijipwa, Kilifi County.
The lifeless body of Baraka Haro, 22 was found on the ground of the house after he trespassed there with intentions of stealing.
The body had head injuries from the fall. It was moved to the mortuary for other procedures.
Meanwhile, a 48-year-old man was found dead in a house after a fire incident in Runogone, Meru County.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.
