Bomet: Man Kills Four, Including Children And Househelp


A horrific event shook Silibwet, Bomet County, as a man ruthlessly murdered four people, including his own children, a niece, and a household, in a gruesome act of violence.

The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Robert Kilel, armed himself with a machete and launched into a killing spree, mercilessly attacking the victims until they succumbed to their injuries.

Bomet Central sub-county Deputy Police Commander Ali Bashir confirmed the incident, stating that the victims included the man’s 2-year-old daughter, 16-year-old son, 8-year-old niece, and 16-year-old house help.

According to Bashir, “The man entered his home while his wife was in Silibwet town. He wielded a Maasai machete and immediately assaulted his daughter, slashing her below the cheek.”

“He then proceeded to attack his niece in a similar manner, followed by inflicting multiple wounds on the househelp.

The 16-year-old boy tried to escape, but Kilel caught up with him.”

The perpetrator fled the scene, sparking a manhunt by authorities.

The bodies of the victims have been transported to Tenwek hospital mortuary for preservation.
