Police are looking for a gang that shot and seriously injured a businessman in a village in Isebania, Migori County during a robbery mission.
The gang of four went to the home of Rose Njoki Ali in Nyabikaye village and demanded cash from her husband Aden Halake Ali.
Police said the woman reported the gang broke into the home at about 3 am on January 18.
During the mission, Ali is said to have resisted prompting one of the gunmen to shoot him in the right wrist.
They also cut him in the head using a sharp object before escaping.
This was after they had grabbed Sh10,000 that he had.
Police were later called to the scene and declared a hunt on the gunmen.
Police said they recovered a spent cartridge from the scene.
The victim was admitted to a local private hospital.
