Driver Flees As Police Seize 300 Kilos Of Bhang Valued At Sh1 Million In Bomet


About 301 kilogrammes of of bhang was seized Monday at Sachangwan area of Bomet after the vehicle ferrying the hard drug was intercepted by police on patrol.

The lone occupant of the vehicle (driver) abandoned the cargo after a hot chase, leaving behind eight sacks of the prohibited herb which were stashed in his Toyota Noah.

Anti-narcotics detectives approximate a Sh1 million street value to the seizure, indicating that crucial leads to the source and the targeted market are being followed.

There has been a sustained crackdown on drug traffickers as part of efforts to tackle the menace of the narcotics in the country and region.
