Political activist Morara Kebaso has announced a temporary break from his activism to re-strategize his approach.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Morara explained that he is facing a problem that requires resolution, prompting this decision.
He expressed disappointment that while many supporters show him encouragement online, they often do not come to his aid when he encounters difficulties.
“I am taking a small break to re-strategize.
I have a problem that needs a solution. Most of my supporters cheer me online, but when I am in trouble, they never show up.
I need a new strategy to mobilize my loyal supporters to have my back whenever I am under attack,” Morara stated on X.
Morara noted that the frequency of attacks against him has increased, with authorities changing their operational tactics, making it challenging for Kenyans to be aware of the issues at hand.
He emphasized that while he fights for the country, he also needs the support of Kenyans to defend him.
“This break will help me devise a plan to rally support from the public,” he explained.
“The attacks have intensified, and the police have become more strategic, targeting me on days when significant events are happening so that it goes unnoticed.
I am genuinely fighting for Kenya, but I need Kenya to fight for me.
Therefore, I need to find a way to convince the public to stand by me.
Ni hayo tu kwa sasa,” he added.
Through this hiatus, Morara aims to develop a more effective method of mobilizing his core supporters and ensuring they stand with him during challenging times.
His commitment to activism remains steadfast, but he recognizes the need for a more supportive network to bolster his efforts.
