Ugandan authorities have apprehended a 34-year-old man from Ntungamo District after he allegedly dismembered his nine-year-old nephew and handed the remains to his wife for cooking.
The shocking incident took place on Sunday, January 14, when the suspect carried out the gruesome act, followed by serving his nephew’s remains in a saucepan to his spouse.
The suspect’s wife raised the alarm upon discovering the horrifying truth, alerting neighbors who identified the deceased child. Law enforcement promptly arrested the suspect and placed him in custody.

John Kabeho, a Rubaare Sub-County District Councillor, shared details of the incident with the Monitor publication.
According to Kabeho, the suspect committed the heinous act while his wife was away from home.
“The suspect was left home with the child while his wife and their child went to church.
When the wife returned from church, her husband claimed to have bought some meat and instructed her to cook it immediately because he was hungry,” explained Mr. Kabeho.
Upon entering the kitchen, the wife made the horrifying discovery of chopped human meat pieces in the pan.
As investigations continue, Councillor Kabeho mentioned that the suspect has a history of mental instability, shedding light on the possible factors contributing to this disturbing incident.
