Passengers on Lufthansa flight LH521 departing Nairobi for Frankfurt were the first to experience the newly revamped Terminal 1C (T1C) at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) Tuesday night.
The refurbished terminal has reopened it’s doors, a few weeks after JKIA’s Terminal 1B (T1B) started its operations. The JKIA upgrade project involved the refurbishment of the two departure halls to improve check-in, security screening, retail and traveller lounge experience.Apart from Improving passenger experience at the airport.
The renovations were also meant to position the JKIA as the preferred aviation hub in East Africa.
