Israel ambassador to Kenya Michael Lotem Ambassador paid a courtesy call to the Cabinet Secretary for Defence Aden Duale at the Defence Headquarters and discussed areas of mutual interest.
The meeting took place on November 22 at the Department of Defense headquarters in Nairobi.
The two agreed to reinvigorate the existing bilateral defence cooperation especially on the field of Disaster management, Defence Industries, Counter Terrorism, Training, Cyber security and Defence.
They also proposed to undertake exchange of high-level visits which provide further opportunities to identify areas of cooperation.
On November 23, 2022 Combatant Commander USAFRICOM Gen Michael E. Langley visited Duale and the Chief of Defence Forces General Robert Kibochi at the Defence Headquarters.
The leaders held discussions on various areas of mutual interest including Defence Cooperation, Defence engagements, and future areas of cooperation.
In addition, they discussed on the contributions of Kenya in peace and security as an anchor state in the region.
