Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki Saturday made changes in the National Administration by recalling all eight Regional Commissioners.
He also named three new County Commissioners in the changes that also saw him, reshuffle administrators, in his office Harambee House.
In the changes, Rhoda Onyancha was moved and named the Coast RC, John Otieno (North Eastern), Paul Rotich (Eastern), Fredrick Shisia (Central), Abdi Hassan (Rift Valley), Samson Irungu (Western), Flora Mworia (Nyanza), Katee Mwanza (Nairobi).
Other changes saw Anne Ng’etich who is the Secretary of Administration for Lands and Physical Planning named the new Principal Administrative Secretary (PAS at the Ministry of Interior and National.
Administration while Beverly Opwora who is currently County Commissioner for Makueni County took over as the Secretary for National Administration.
Jacob Namulen who currently the County Commissioner for Wajir County was named new Secretary for Peace Building.
The recalled RC will be redeployed, Kindiki said.
Tom Anjere was named the new Kisii County Commissioner, William Kaimba (Makueni) and Felix Watakila (Kajiado).
The changes were expected under the new administration which has been complaining the administrators were political in the last polls.
The National Administration is key in delivering the government agenda in the regions.
Regional Commissioners usually chair security meetings and other national administration issues.
The former provincial administration was restructured to accommodate the new commissioners.
This followed the ushering of the 2010 constitution.
The RCs replaced Provincial Commissioners in the new dispensation.
The chair and coordinate national government issues in their regions including security matters.
National Administration is one of the Departments in the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government with a staff complement of 12,575 which includes eight Regional Coordinators, 47 County Commissioners, 289 Deputy County Commissioners, 831 Assistant County Commissioners, 3,256 Chiefs and 8,145 Assistant Chiefs.
