
Police and the wife of Moris Okoth said he had returned from Kericho where he had gone to seek a job on Saturday night when the incident happened.
The wife identified as Valentine Awinja told police Okoth asked for sex from her but she denied him the same over personal reasons.
Okoth then threatened to commit suicide but as usual, Awinja did not take him seriously.
She said Okoth had in the past made similar threats whenever they argued and so when he made the remarks on Saturday she did not take him seriously.
Minutes later, she found his body hanging on a roof with an electric cable tied around his neck.
The woman said she tried to save him in vain.
Police arrived at the scene and picked up the body at the mortuary.
Meanwhile, a man collapsed in a bathroom and died in Kibera, Nairobi.
Musyoki Makau, 48 had booked a room in a lodging at Kibera Laini Saba Kirere Restaurant where he died in the bathroom.
Attendants at the joint told police the deceased was taking a shower when he collapsed and died.
The cause of the death is yet to be known. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
Elsewhere in Huruma, a woman died while in a lodging with a man.
The woman had booked the room when a man on
Saturday evening when she later fell sick and died.
The man rushed her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
