A 59-year-old man was found dead in his house after a suicide in Nairobi’s South B area.
Police said they were called and informed that the body of one Amos Njaramba was hanging outside the balcony of his house.
The officers visited the scene and moved the body to the mortuary. A suicide note was recovered from his house.
He said in the note he was tired with life.
Police said they are investigating the incident.
Meanwhile, in Ngando area, Nairobi a caretaker of an apartment reported to the police he had seen an unknown male adult lying dead at the perimeter wall.
Police visited the scene and found the body with visible bruises on the left thigh and black marks on the abdomen.
The body was photographed and removed to the City mortuary.
Cases of suicide have been on the rise in the past months at an alarming rate amid calls to address the trend.
A report by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations said at least 500 people committed suicide in separate incidents in three months (March-June) of 2021 in the country.
