Police in Juja, Kiambu County launched investigations into a suspected murder after an unidentified man was found dead with visible injuries at Twiga Estate.
The body was discovered on Friday, October 9, 2026, at around 9pm by a man who was walking home along Jacaranda Avenue.
According to police, the man found the victim lying unconscious by the roadside with injuries to his head and hands, prompting a response from officers.
Police officers visited the scene.
The officers found the man unresponsive, with visible swelling and bruises on his head and both hands. Blood stains were also observed around his mouth.
Investigators recovered scattered stones and broken sticks at the scene, which were collected by CSI personnel as exhibits as they sought to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
The deceased had no identification documents in his pockets, and people at the scene were unable to identify him
The body was moved to General Kago Funeral Home in Thika, where it was preserved pending identification and a post-mortem examination.
Police investigations are ongoing to establish the man’s identity, the cause of death and whether he was attacked before being abandoned at the roadside.
Elsewhere, police in Nakuru are investigating a suspected murder after the body of an unidentified man was found lying in a pool of blood along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway near Njoro Interchange.
The body was discovered at around 12:10 am on Saturday, October 10, 2026, after police received a report about a person lying along the highway.
Officers from Kaptembwo Police Station, accompanied by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and traffic police officers, visited the scene.
They found the body of an unidentified African man, estimated to be about 30 years old, lying in a pool of blood by the roadside.
Police documented the scene before moving the body to Kwa Jack Mortuary, where it was preserved pending a post-mortem examination.
Investigations are ongoing to establish the man’s identity and the circumstances surrounding his death.
