Man Found Unconscious In Kisumu Dies As Police Probe Injuries

Police in Kisumu County have launched investigations into the death of a 45-year-old man who was found unconscious in his house with burn injuries and bruises on his body.

The deceased, identified as Caleb Onyango Ogada, was found unconscious at his home in Adegra Village, Kabar East Sub-location, Muhoroni Sub-County, on Friday evening.

According to police, the incident was reported at about 6pm by Kabar East Assistant Chief Bernard Odiwour.

Relatives rushed Ogada from his house to his mother’s home in an attempt to revive him, but he succumbed shortly afterwards.

Officers from Masogo Police Station who visited the scene observed burns and bruises on the deceased’s buttocks and shoulders, raising questions about the circumstances leading to his death.

The body was moved to Othoo Funeral Home, where it is awaiting a post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death.

Police said investigations are ongoing. No arrests had been reported by Friday evening.
