Asake whose real name is Ahmed Ololade 28 years old is a Nigerian Afrobeat singer and songwriter who uses uptempo, Afro, and Amapiano-styled production.
He developed an early interest in music and began singing and performing at a young age, he started his career as a dancer and was excellent at doing it then later transitioned to music and has been exceptional.
Asake is a tattoo-loving musician where his first tattoo was the words “Stay Real” written across his arms.
He wasn’t satisfied with that, so he went ahead and got another tattoo on his neck which brought a buzz to his fans on social media.
However, the musician decided to open up about the symbolism behind his ‘ASAKE’ brand tattoo inked on his neck and his other tattoos.
In an earlier interview with GQ Magazine, the Afrobeats singer talked about his career, while explaining the rise of his fame in general, and his link. The outlet notes that Asake got the tattoo on his neck at a time when he felt hopeless and unsure about his music path.
According to him, the tattoo symbolized his perseverance and determination to make it big in the entertainment industry. In response to his initial doubts, when he got a tattoo he worked harder to become the singer his fans love.
He also revealed the misconception that continues in Nigeria about people with tattoos, saying that if a person is tattooed and they are visible then it is difficult to get a job or sell anything to people
He emphasized his mantra, to never forget who he is, his goals when he got his first ever tattoo that says “Stay Real” that is written on his arms. He admitted that living in Los Angeles makes it difficult to be a normal person and original.
