A suspected thug was Tuesday night shot and killed in Nairobi’s Mukuru slums.

Police said they recovered a homemade gun and a police pocket phone from him.

Makadara police boss Judith Nyongesa said two of his accomplices managed to escape on foot.

She said one of the suspects, who is a female, is wanted by police over a series of crimes in different parts of the city.
Nyongesa identified the slain gangster as Stanley alias ‘Untouchable’.

The police boss said her officers were alerted by residents that a gang of three was robbing people at gunpoint along Mariakani Road in South B.

It was then that police responded and killed one in a confrontation.

She described the killed suspect as a notorious criminal who lived in the Shauri Moyo estate.

“One of those who escaped is a notorious woman who is believed to be ferrying firearms to the suspects,” she added.
