Police are hunting down a gang that attacked a family and raped a mother and her daughter in Keroka, Kisii County.
The father of the home said they were sleeping Wednesday midnight when he heard unusual movements from his sitting room.
When he went to check what was happening he was confronted by four men.
He told police two of them had rifles and at gunpoint, ordered him to surrender.
He lay on the floor before they tied him with a piece of cloth and later led him into his bedroom where his wife was also tied.
According to police, the couple was later robbed of Sh20,800 and two mobile phones that they had.
It was then that the gang turned on the wife and their 17-year-old girl who was present and raped them.
This happened as the father of the girl was tied and locked in their bedroom and could not help them.
The victims were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Police were called to the scene and processed it before announcing the hunt on the gang is ongoing.
