
In Migori County, the police are searching for a robbery suspect who managed to escape from his house during an early morning raid in Isibania on Saturday.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) conducted the raid, and they discovered some weapons and ammunition.
Among the things they found were a Czeska pistol with two magazines, 58 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and a sharp dagger.
The suspect, known as Peter Matinde Wandwi, narrowly got away during the raid. He is wanted for being involved in several violent robberies in the area.
“Two persons of interest were also arrested in the operation and are aiding the detectives with further investigations,” the DCI said in a statement.
During the operation, the police also arrested two people who are helping with further investigations, according to a statement from the DCI.
