President Ruto Announces Significant Drop In Fuel Prices By Sh10

President William Ruto recently disclosed that Kenyans can expect a substantial decrease in fuel prices in the upcoming review by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).

Speaking during a church service in Nyeri, Ruto attributed this anticipated reduction to the effective economic strategies implemented by his administration.

He remarked, “Today maize flour was nearing Sh.200; it’s now close to Sh.100.

The dollar was Sh.160, now it’s a hundred and twenty-something and still not done.

Oil prices, as you have seen, have dropped by Sh.10 today.”

Ruto emphasized the positive impact of making prudent decisions for the country’s progress, affirming his belief in Kenya’s brighter future.

He urged leaders to prioritize serving their constituents over seeking popularity.

In previous announcements, EPRA had reduced fuel prices by Sh.1 in February, citing a decline in landed costs.

However, with Ruto’s announcement, further reductions are expected, potentially bringing the new prices for Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene to Sh.196, Sh.185.47, and Sh.183.23, respectively.

As of now, EPRA is on the verge of officially declaring the reviewed prices for the upcoming period.
