President Ruto Receives Ghana’s Highest Honour


Ghana recently bestowed upon President William Ruto its highest distinction, The Companion of the Order of the Star of the Volta.

During a State banquet on Wednesday evening, President Nana Akufo-Addo praised President Ruto as emblematic of a new wave of African leaders dedicated to upholding principles of accountability and due process for all citizens, regardless of their standing in society.

President Akufo-Addo emphasized President Ruto’s unwavering commitment to these principles, even in the face of complex or politically sensitive situations.

In his words, “Under your leadership, Kenya has become a shining example of a nation governed by the rule of law.

He also commended Kenya’s resurgence on the international stage under President Ruto’s guidance.

Highlighting Kenya’s achievements during President Ruto’s tenure, President Akufo-Addo noted significant progress, including a decrease in inflation, a rise in startup businesses, and increased access to housing and health insurance for Kenyan citizens.

President Akufo-Addo’s words underscored the recognition of President Ruto’s efforts in steering Kenya towards prosperity and embodying the values of good governance and progress in Africa.
