President William Ruto appointed Nelson Havi as the chair of the Board of Directors of the Retirement Benefits Authority among other major appointments as he sacked former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s picks.
In a gazette notice dated February 10, Ruto also appointed David Maina Kamiru as chairperson of the New Kenya Co-operative Creameries Limited Board, Daniel Chemno to serve as the new chairperson of the Board of Directors the New Kenya Planters Co-operative Union, and Regina Ndambuki for the position of the Board of Directors of Tanathani Water Works Development Agency.
Others appointed in the positions of chairperson Board of Directors include Cleophas Laga at Rivatex East Africa Limited, Lily Ng’ok at the Kenya Industrial Estates, Jane Kiptoo will serve at the Bomas of Kenya, Charles Njagagua alias Jaguar at Consolidated Bank Limited, and Daniel Rono at Kenya Medical Supplies Authority.
Edik Omondi Anyanga was appointed to the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority, Shaka Kiriuki (Competition Authority), Sakwa Bunyasi (Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board), Margaret Karanja (National Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse Board), James Gathaka (Tana Water Works Development Agency), Hussein Tene (Kenya National Trading Corporation), Ali Mbogo (Kenya Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis Eradication), Samier Muravvej (Kenyatta National Hospital), and Patric Musili (Athi River Water Works Development Agency).
Yusuf Chanzu was appointed the chairperson of the National Housing Corporation, Robert Theuri chairperson Kenya Service Library Board, and Ngeny Biwott as chairperson of the Board of Special Economic XZones Authority.
Moses Mwambu and Mabonga Njambi were picked to serve as chairpersons of the Insurance Regulatory Authority and Board of Kenya Investment Authority respectively.
CS for the National Treasury Njuguna Ndungu appointed Francis Kigo as Chairperson of Directors of Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority, Moezz Mirr as chairperson Trustees of the Kenya National Entrepreneurs Saving Trust, Peter Achinga as Chairperson of the Disciplinary Committee of the Council of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya, and Amin Deddy Chairperson Board of the Local Authorities Provident Fund.
CS for Agriculture and Livestock Development Mithika Linturi picked Duke Mainga as the new chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Commodities Fund.
CS for Investment, Trade, and Industry Moses Kuria appointed Francis Mugo and Joseph Gichunge to be chairpersons of the Scrap Metal Council and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Anti-Counterfeit Authority respectively.
CS Health Susan Wafula picked Wilfred Lesan for the position of chairperson of the Trustees of the Kenya Hospital Authority Trust Fund.
