President William Ruto reaffirmed his dedication to transforming Kenya’s economy, emphasizing that real progress cannot be achieved through mere applause.
While addressing the public in Kakamega, Ruto pointed out that some people believe he should continue receiving praise, but he made it clear that such gestures do not contribute to the country’s development.
“There are some who say I should continue being clapped, but we all know that being clapped does not help in the country’s development,” President Ruto said.
He further urged those seeking praise to continue waiting, stressing that the actual work necessary for change often goes unnoticed.
Addressing those focused on gaining fame, the president reiterated that his goal is to implement strategies that will push the country forward.
“For me, I am looking at adding strategies on changing the country,” Ruto stated, underscoring the importance of action rather than seeking recognition.
The president also voiced concern over the delays in the nation’s progress, attributing them to past leaders who lacked the capacity to drive the country forward.
He acknowledged a shortage of leaders with the necessary abilities and courage to implement the changes needed to improve Kenya’s future.
These comments reflect Ruto’s unwavering focus on effective governance and leadership, as he works to reshape the nation’s economy and secure long-term development.
