The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming that it has discontinued the teacher deployment process.
In a statement issued on Thursday, September 10, the commission described the circular behind the claims as fake and misleading, urging teachers and members of the public to ignore it.
TSC said the purported circular did not originate from the commission and cautioned the public against relying on unverified information.
The commission further advised teachers to obtain official updates only through its recognised communication platforms, including its Facebook page, TSC KENYA, and its X account, @TSC_KE.

The clarification comes shortly after TSC announced 1,631 promotional vacancies for serving teachers.
In a notice issued on September 1, the commission invited eligible teachers to apply for the positions in line with the Career Progression Guidelines for Teachers.
The advertised positions comprise 132 Deputy Principal III posts, 29 Senior Master II positions and 1,470 Deputy Headteacher II posts.
TSC stated that successful applicants would be deployed to institutions with existing vacancies.
Eligible teachers are required to submit their applications through the commission’s online recruitment portal, www.teachersonline.go.ke.
The application deadline is midnight on Monday, September 14, 2026.
The commission stressed that applications must be submitted online, adding that manually submitted applications would not be accepted.
