Police are holding three suspects after they recovered two rifles and assorted goods in an operation at Kipkenyo Area within Kapseret Sub County.
Officers from Simat Police Station Thursday staged the operation following a tip-off from locals.
From the search conducted at the homes of the suspects, police officers recovered two AK 47 rifles, magazines, assorted motor vehicle registration plates, police jungle uniforms, and fake motor vehicle logbooks among other items.
The suspects were arrested and placed in custody pending processing and arraignment on Friday.
The area has been experiencing an increased rate of crime amid calls to address the situation.
