

A woman was Wednesday arraigned in a Kisii law court for biting and stabbing her husband’s genitals on the eve of the New Year at Nyanchwa.
Grace Oyaro was arraigned before the Courts’ Senior Principal Magistrate Caroline Ocharo for causing grievous harm to her husband Eliud Kepha Onuko after a disagreement over claims of infidelity.
Oyaro was charged that on January 1, 2023, at Nyanchwa she stabbed Eliud and bite his genitals causing grievous harm contrary to the penal code.
She pleaded not guilty to the charges and she was released on a bond of Sh50,000 with a similar surety.
Onuko was represented by lawyer Frank Maswari.
Court Prosecutor Hilary Kaino agreed on the bond terms on condition that the two don’t come in contact with each other since they were in a domestic relationship.
The case will be mentioned on January 26.
Onuko was taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital for treatment.
Oyaro was arrested Tuesday by police officers from Nyanchwa police station after she was discharged from a private hospital in Kisii where she was undergoing treatment.
Onuko, 38 underwent major surgery at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.
