In a surprising turn of events in Marura village, Kamahoha, Murang’a County, residents were taken aback on Tuesday when they stumbled upon more than 30 slaughtered donkeys in a neighbor’s house.
The shocking revelation occurred as they assisted in pushing a van, stuck in the mud while transporting some of the meat.
Local residents suspect that this clandestine activity has been happening for an extended period.
Maragua’s Assistant Police Commissioner, Gitonga Murungi, shared that upon arresting the van driver, it was disclosed that the slaughtered donkeys were being transported to the Kayole area in Nairobi.
The incident has left the community in disbelief at the unexpected discovery in their midst.
