Wanjigi Expresses Safety Concerns After Blood Found At His Home

Jimi Wanjigi, leader of the Safina party and prominent businessman, has voiced concerns for his safety following a troubling incident at his residence in Muthaiga, Nairobi, on Saturday night.

Wanjigi reported that unknown individuals arrived at his home in a grey pickup truck around 10 PM and poured blood at the entrance before quickly leaving.

“Such an act is typically a warning, suggesting that they intend to spill my blood and that of my family,” Wanjigi stated during a press conference at his home.

The politician criticized law enforcement, alleging that police have been using a signal jammer vehicle parked outside his residence to disrupt his communications.

“For the past 27 days, a car has been stationed outside, preventing me from making phone calls and watching TV,” he claimed.

Wanjigi further alleged that he is being closely monitored, with individuals following him and openly taking photographs to intimidate him.

Following his media address, Wanjigi headed to Kitengela to join other opposition leaders at AIC Kasina in Mlolongo for a thanksgiving service honoring three men from Kitengela who had been missing for over a month.

However, he and fellow opposition figures, including Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa, and Jubilee Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni, were denied entry to the church.

Wanjigi noted that the three missing men Bob Njagi, Aslam Longton, and Jamal Longton had visited him at Kamukunji Police Station prior to their alleged abduction by police in Kitengela, which has led to public outcry.

The police’s denial of access to the church prompted the cancellation of their planned rallies in Kitengela and Mlolongo.
