In a heartfelt inaugural speech, Kithure Kindiki, now serving as Deputy President, expressed his profound appreciation for the opportunity to work alongside President William Ruto.
He vowed to uphold the trust placed in him, promising not to let the President or the citizens down.
“Before this esteemed gathering and under the watchful eyes of God, I pledge that I will fulfill my responsibilities with utmost dedication,” Kindiki affirmed, highlighting the weight of the role he has taken on.
Describing his appointment as a defining moment in his career, he said, “Words can hardly convey the depth of my gratitude.
I thank the Almighty for guiding our paths, and I am particularly thankful to you, President Ruto, for this incredible chance.”
Reflecting on their nearly 20-year relationship, he remarked, “I have had the privilege of being your political mentee, and the lessons I’ve learned from you have been instrumental in my journey through the political arena.”
Kindiki committed to working hand in hand with Ruto to realize the shared vision for the nation, emphasizing loyalty and teamwork with his fellow officials.
“I promise to support you, alongside our colleagues, in crafting a Kenya that is more inclusive, democratic, and brimming with opportunities.
Together, we will strive to lift this nation to new heights,” he declared.
Reiterating his commitment, Kindiki stated, “I vow before this assembly, before God, and in accordance with the Constitution that I will serve you loyally and faithfully.
My efforts will focus on lightening the load you carry as our leader.”
His address set a tone of collaboration and resolve, signaling a unified approach to addressing the aspirations of the nation in his new role.
