DCP Party leader Rigathi Gachagua will embark on a two-day tour of Nakuru County in August as he continues his nationwide public engagement campaign.
In a statement issued on Monday, DCP Secretary for Planning and Economic Affairs Peter Mbae said the visit is scheduled for August 14 and 15.
According to the itinerary released by the party, Gachagua will begin the tour on Friday, August 14, with stops in Naivasha Town before heading to Soko Mjinga in Nakuru Town West. He will conclude the day’s engagements at KANU House in Nakuru Town East.
On the second day, August 15, the former Deputy President is expected to visit Njoro Town, Elburgon, Turi, Molo, Kibunja and Rongai Town.
The visit comes as Gachagua intensifies his political activities ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Last week, he declared that the Mt Kenya region would field a presidential candidate in 2027 even if he is barred from contesting the presidency.

Speaking during an interview, Gachagua said he has been mentoring a group of young leaders capable of carrying the region’s political agenda should he be locked out of the race.
He said the region would agree on one candidate from among the leaders if circumstances prevented him from vying for the presidency.
Gachagua expressed confidence in the group, describing them as energetic leaders who could outperform him in a presidential contest, adding that many Kenyans are increasingly looking to younger leaders for national leadership.
His planned Nakuru visit also follows recent criticism of Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku over proposals to split the Mt Kenya region into eastern and western blocs.
Addressing supporters during a rally in Igembe Central, Gachagua accused Ruku of advancing President William Ruto’s agenda and insisted that Mt Kenya would remain politically united under one party and one leader.
