Jalang’o Advises Lookalike Relative Amidst Claims Of Neglect

Lang’ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwour, popularly known as Jalang’o, has offered advice to Stanley Mutisya, a man who resembles him and goes by the name Jalas Junior.

Speaking on the Iko Nini podcast, Jalang’o suggested that Mutisya should focus on his own path to success rather than relying on his resemblance to the MP.

Jalang’o encouraged Mutisya to pursue activities and goals as if he did not share his appearance.

“If he didn’t look like me, he should still be doing what he would have pursued otherwise.

Just because he looks like me doesn’t mean it’s a job or a path to success,” Jalang’o advised.

The MP emphasized that resembling someone is not a career and urged Mutisya to find a meaningful occupation.

“Looking like me isn’t a job.

When people asked him what he wanted to do, he said he could do what I was doing. I don’t need to be the one to create opportunities for him,” Jalang’o remarked.

Recently, Jalas Junior had complained in an interview that Jalang’o had promised to help him but failed to follow through.

The MP responded with a joke, saying that it was unrealistic to expect help simply because of their resemblance.

“It’s amusing that people think it’s my responsibility just because you look like me. If you were truly proactive, you wouldn’t be in this situation,” Jalang’o commented.

The MP also questioned the legitimacy of Mutisya’s claim that his resemblance to Jalang’o should be considered a job.

“If someone asks what you do for a living and your answer is ‘I look like Jalas,’ that’s not a valid job,” he added.

In a recent interview, Jalas Junior revealed that he had received sh1000 from Jalang’o after their initial meeting but claimed that Jalang’o had not honored his promise of further assistance despite multiple reminders.

“Why did he lie to me?” Mutisya asked, expressing his frustration.

Mutisya has been active on social media, creating content and imitating Jalang’o in an attempt to gain attention and build his own platform.
