Siaya County police have apprehended a man for transporting 298 kilograms of marijuana, valued at approximately Sh.8.9 million, along the Siaya-Nyadorera Road.
On Thursday, Justis Onyango Malaki was arrested following a brief chase by law enforcement.
To immobilize his vehicle, officers resorted to shooting at its tires.

After bringing the vehicle to a halt, Malaki attempted to escape on foot but was swiftly apprehended by police.
Upon inspecting the vehicle, officers discovered six sacks containing the illicit substance.
The suspect is set to face charges of drug trafficking and is expected to appear in court on Monday for legal proceedings.
