Nairobi Securities Exchange to Move Headquarters to GTC Office Tower

The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) is preparing to relocate its headquarters to the 17th floor of the Global Trade Centre (GTC) Office Tower in Westlands, marking the end of its long tenure at the iconic Exchange Building on Westlands Road as it embarks on a new phase of expansion.

According to documents seen by Eagle News Feed, the bourse is seeking an interior design and project management firm to oversee the fit-out of its new offices at the GTC Office Tower on Chiromo Lane ahead of the planned move in January 2027.

The Exchange will occupy approximately 11,863 square feet on the building’s 17th floor, with plans to create a modern workspace featuring enhanced ICT infrastructure, a dedicated data centre and contemporary office facilities.

The planned relocation comes shortly after Eagle News Feed reported that the NSE had begun the process of appointing a real estate adviser to manage the sale of its current headquarters, signalling a wider strategy to optimise its property portfolio.

Completed in 2024, the Global Trade Centre (GTC) has become one of Nairobi’s premier mixed-use developments. Located in Westlands, the complex features Grade A office space, luxury apartments, high-end retail outlets and the JW Marriott Hotel Nairobi, while hosting several multinational corporations and financial institutions, including J.P. Morgan, which established its Kenyan headquarters at the development.

The move will position Kenya’s stock exchange within one of East Africa’s leading commercial hubs as it modernises its operations and prepares for future growth.
