Three Boys Killed In Fire Incident At An Apartment In South C, Nairobi


Three boys aged between two and five were were killed in a fire incident in Nairobi’s South C area.

The incident happened on Thursday morning at an apartment on the first floor of the building along Ole Shapara Road, police said.

Police arrived at the scene and established that the fire had broken out from the first floor of Huda Apartment killing the three young siblings.

Fire engines from the County government arrived at the scene and together with locals managed to contain the fire.

But it had caused much damage.

Two teenage girls and three boys aged between two and five were rescued and rushed to the hospital in the area.

Nairobi police boss George Seda said the boys were pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

They had suffocated.

The girls were admitted in the ICU.

The cause of the 1 am fire incident is yet to be known, police said adding experts are investigating the same.

The bodies were moved to the mortuary pending other procedures.

This comes days after a couple was killed in a similar fire incident on the fourth floor of an apartment in Kawangware, Nairobi.

The Sunday morning fire broke out on the fourth floor of a four-storey building, police and witnesses said.
