At Chemoe Junction in Baringo North Constituency, three family members were shot dead by bandits, while three others sustained injuries during the attack.
The victims, a father, mother, and their young child were ambushed by armed assailants while en route to a pass-out ceremony in the area.
The attackers mercilessly sprayed them with bullets, leading to the immediate death of the father.
Despite attempts by locals to rescue them, the wife and child succumbed to their injuries.

Additionally, three more individuals were injured in the assault and are currently undergoing treatment at Baringo County Referral Hospital in Kabarnet.
The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the hospital’s mortuary.
Expressing outrage over the incident, Area MCA Michael Chebon has strongly condemned the killings.
He is urging security personnel to swiftly apprehend the culprits to restore peace in the region.
